Marcus G. Farrant is a member of the firm's Corporate Law Practice Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of general corporate representation, including the formation and organization of business entities, securities issues, commercial transactions, mergers, acquisitions and other reorganizations, shareholder rights issues and contract drafting and negotiation.

Mr. Farrant’s diverse experience reaches beyond practicing law. Before earning his law degree, Mr. Farrant spent more than a decade in the broadcasting and telecommunication industries.  His experience includes serving as Operations Manager to a Georgia-based cable Internet service provider, as a Business Development Manager for a national cable television network headquartered in Atlanta, and as Chief Technical Officer to a Hilton Head Island real estate firm.  Before joining HunterMaclean, Mr. Farrant worked as a law clerk for the South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff in Columbia, South Carolina, where he assisted in telecommunication matters.

Mr. Farrant holds a B.A. in Mass Communication from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he received the CALI® Award for Legal Excellence in intellectual property law.

Originally from the Adirondack mountain region of upstate New York, he and his wife Melanie currently reside in Bluffton, South Carolina.
