Frank Macgill is the Firm's Managing Partner practicing in the Savannah office in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Taxation, Tax-Exempt Organizations, and Corporate Law. He has experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, federal, state and local tax issues, and tax matters affecting non-profit and tax-exempt organizations.

Mr. Macgill is admitted to practice in the Superior Court of Chatham County and United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and previously served on the Executive Board of its Younger Lawyers Section.  Mr. Macgill previously served as a member of the IRS-Practitioners Liaison Committee as a representative of the State Bar of Georgia. He is a member and former President (2007-08) of the Savannah Estate Planning Council and served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys for the 2005-2009 term.

Mr. Macgill's community involvement includes serving as a member and 2008-2009 Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Savannah Fund for Excellence in Public Education, Inc. and as a member of the Advisory Board of Island Healthcare, Inc. Mr. Macgill also serves on the Board of Directors of United Way of the Coastal Empire for a three year term through 2012. 

In 2003, he was selected as one of Savannah's "40 Business Leaders Under 40" by the Savannah Business Report & Journal and named as a "Super Lawyer" by Atlanta Magazine in 2004 through 2009. He has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America, in 2007 through 2010 and he was recognized as one of Georgia Trend’s “Legal Elite” in December 2009.

Mr. Macgill received his B.S., with distinction, from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in 1991, and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. At Georgia, he was a member of the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review. Following law school, Mr. Macgill attended New York University where he received his masters (LL.M) in Taxation in 1995.
