Elizabeth Thompson is special counsel in the Savannah office and is the head of the firm's residential real estate pratice.

Ms. Thompson has over twenty years' experience handling purchase and refinance transactions, both residential and commercial.  She is an authorized title insurance agent for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company and First American Title Insurance Company.  She has spoken at a number of seminars to attorneys on professionalism in the real estate field. Ms. Thompson worked at several top law firms in Macon and Savannah and served as the sole proprietor of a private law practice in Macon. She is an active member of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association, Savannah Board of Realtors and is serving as treasurer of the Wymberly Garden Club.

During her tenure in Savannah, Ms. Thompson has served as the president of the Savannah Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division and on the board of directors for the Savannah Bar Association. A graduate of Leadership Savannah, Ms. Thompson served as the district representative for the Younger Lawyers section of the State Bar of Georgia, in addition to volunteering with a number of local civic organizations including the Junior League of Savannah, the American Cancer Society and Savannah South Rotary Club.

Elizabeth Thompson has been named the Savannah Board of Realtors’ Affiliate of the Year, the Women Council of Realtors’ Affiliate Member of the Year, Young Council of Realtors Affiliate of the Year and the Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center’s Philanthropist of the Year. She also earned the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award, the Commitment to the Younger Lawyers Section Award, the Georgia Jaycees’ Five Outstanding Young Georgians Award and the Outstanding Volunteer Award for Neighborhood Housing Services. WTOC named her as a "Hometown Hero."

Ms. Thompson has a B.B.A. in Finance and English from Mercer University in Macon and earned a J.D. from the Walter F. Georgia School of Law at Mercer University. In law school, she distinguished herself by being selected for the National Moot Court Team, being included in “Who’s Who of American Law Students" and joining Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. Ms. Thompson has served on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, as well as the Board of Directors of the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association.
