Frank Macgill is the Administrative Partner in the Savannah office practicing in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Taxation, ERISA and Employee Benefits, Tax-Exempt Organizations, and Corporate Law. He has experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, federal, state and local tax issues, and tax matters affecting non-profit and tax-exempt organizations.
Mr. Macgill is admitted to practice in the Superior Court of Chatham County and United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and served as a member of the Executive Board of its Younger Lawyers Section. He is also a member and 2007-08 President of the Savannah Estate Planning Council. In 2004, Mr. Macgill was elected to the board of directors of the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys for the 2005-2007 term.
Mr. Macgill's community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Savannah Fund for Excellence in Public Education and the Advisory Board of Island Healthcare, Inc. He is a member of the Telfair Museum of Art and Historic Savannah Foundation. In 2003, he was selected as one of Savannah's "40 Business Leaders Under 40" by the Savannah Business Report & Journal and named as a "Super Lawyer" by Atlanta Magazine in 2004, 2005, and 2006. In 2007, he was nominated to Best Lawyers in America.
Mr. Macgill received his B.S., with distinction, from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in 1991, and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. At Georgia, he was a member of the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review. Following law school, Mr. Macgill attended New York University where he received his masters (LL.M) in Taxation in 1995.
