Summer Program

The focus of our summer clerkship program is to fill our hiring needs for the coming year.  We look for qualified candidates who have a sincere interest in living in Coastal Georgia, and hire each summer clerk with the intent of making them an offer of employment following law school, assuming they meet our hiring criteria.

When summer associates arrive at HunterMaclean, they are assigned mentors to answer questions and provide feedback, guidance and support.  Throughout the summer program, we hold a variety of social events intended both to acquaint clerks with HunterMaclean’s lawyers and staff, and to acquaint them with the city of Savannah and its surrounding area.  From a work perspective, our goal is to expose our summer associates to as many of our practice areas as possible, while at the same time providing assignments in areas of interest.  We also try to give summer clerks exposure to depositions, negotiations, client meetings, transactions, and pro bono opportunities.
