Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession, recently named Harold B. Yellin the “Best Lawyers 2011 Savannah Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” and David F. Sipple the “Best Lawyers 2011 Savannah Maritime Lawyer of the Year.”
After more than a quarter of a century in publication, Best Lawyers is designating “Lawyers of the Year” in high-profile legal specialties in large legal communities. Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year.”
“Harold and David are both outstanding attorneys in their respective fields,” said Frank S. Macgill, managing partner for HunterMaclean. “We are delighted that they have been recognized by their peers as being the top real estate and maritime attorneys in Savannah.”
Yellin is a partner in the Savannah office of HunterMaclean, practicing in the areas of commercial real estate, zoning/land use and commercial leasing. He has broad experience in commercial real estate matters, including the purchase, sale and refinance of retail shopping centers and office, industrial, and mixed use developments. He also has extensive experience representing developers and other clients in various zoning and land use matters before local governmental bodies in the metropolitan Savannah area.

An accomplished maritime law attorney at HunterMaclean, Sipple currently serves as chairman of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and is on the Maritime Law Committee for the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He also serves on the Committee on Marine Ecology and Criminal Law and the Committee on Marine Torts and Casualties for the Maritime Law Association of the United States. Since 1997, Sipple has been an associate editor of American Maritime Cases, a leading admiralty law publication.
