Edward Vinhateiro recently joined the Brunswick office of HunterMaclean as an associate attorney in the firm's corporate tax group.

HunterMaclean is pleased to announce Edward Vinhaterio has recently joined the firm as an associate attorney in the corporate tax group. His emphasis is on tax and estate planning as well as the administration of decedents’ estates and fiduciary tax.
“Ed brings an outstanding knowledge of tax and estate law to his new position with the firm,” said Frank Macgill, partner in charge of HunterMaclean’s Estate and Trust group. “He offers a broad base of experience and serves as an important addition to our growing team of attorneys in Brunswick.”
Before joining HunterMaclean, Vinhateiro served as an associate attorney in trusts and estates with the Hartford, Conn., law firm of Nirenstein Horowitz & Associates, PC and with Sayer Regan Thayer & Flanagan LLP in Newport, R.I. Prior to that, he was a tax associate in mergers and acquisitions with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, which is the world’s largest professional services firm. Before starting his career as an attorney, Vinhateiro served with the 1st Infantry Division in West Germany during the Cold War.
Originally from Stonington, Conn., Vinhateiro earned a B.A. degree in Political Science at the University of Connecticut and a J.D. degree at the Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. He also successfully completed an LL.M. degree in taxation at the Boston University School of Law. He currently resides on St. Simons Island with his wife, Paula, and their two children.
