The law firm of HunterMaclean is pleased to announce that attorney R. Scott Tobin recently joined The Creative Coast Alliance Advisory Board.
Formed in 2007, The Creative Coast Alliance is a collaboration between The Creative Coast Initiative and the Coastal Business, Education and Technology Alliance (CBETA) to bring both organizations together to support the development of Savannah’s creative and technical economies. The Creative Coast Alliance is chartered by the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA), the City of Savannah, and the Chatham County Commission.
“The Creative Coast Alliance has been instrumental in attracting businesses to Savannah and created over 200 jobs for our community,” said Tobin. “I am honored and enthused to be chosen to continue this work for Savannah.”
Tobin joined HunterMaclean in early 2007 and specializes in corporate and real estate law. His varied career includes work as an international advisor for European businesses, an assistant attorney general for the State of Georgia, and chairman and CEO of a North Carolina manufacturing firm.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Law, Tobin currently serves as a director of the UNC School of Law Foundation and was a founding director of the UNC School of Law Initiative for Corporate Governance and a member of the UNC School of Law Council for Entrepreneurial Law.
Tobin is also a member of the Savannah Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, State Bar of North Carolina and National Association of Corporate Directors. He was recognized in 2003 as one of the Top 10 Business People in the Triad Region of North Carolina.
