HunterMaclean Attorney Andy Gaunce Named to Advisory Board of Savannah Area Make-a-Wish Foundation

Andy Gaunce, an attorney at HunterMaclean, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Savannah region of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation began in 1980 and grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. To date, the foundation has enriched the lives of more than 167,000 children around the world.

“It is an honor to be named to the Make-a-Wish Foundation board,” said Gaunce. “This organization has helped so many children, and I’m proud to be in a position to help even more.”

A member of HunterMaclean’s Corporate Law practice group, Gaunce has represented businesses and entrepreneurs in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private placements and corporate finance. Before joining the firm, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry assaultman and, later, as the executive officer of Weapons Company, First Battalion, Sixth Marines.

In addition to his work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Gaunce also donates his time at Heard Elementary Academy in Savannah as an instructor in the Kids and Justice program.

Originally from Winchester, Ky., Gaunce earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Paul Cooper scholarship and a member of the South Carolina Law Review.
