Andy Gaunce Named to Board of Directors for Quantum, Inc.,

Andy Gaunce, an attorney at HunterMaclean, has been named to the Board of Directors for Quantum, Inc., a local non-profit company that provides employment opportunities to more than 175 adults with disabilities living in the greater Savannah area.

Quantum, Inc. is a non-profit subsidiary corporation of the Coastal Center for Developmental Services. Previously known as Chatham Industries, Inc., Quantum operates three local commercial businesses: Quantum Assembly, Quantum Catering and Quantum Printing.
 
A member of HunterMaclean’s Corporate Law practice group, Gaunce has represented businesses and entrepreneurs in a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements and corporate finance. Before joining HunterMaclean, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry assaultman and, later, as the executive officer of Weapons Company, First Battalion, Sixth Marines.

An active community volunteer, Gaunce serves on the Advisory Board of the Savannah region of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama. He also donates his time at Heard Elementary in Savannah as an instructor in the Kids and Justice program.

Originally from Winchester, Ky., Gaunce earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Paul Cooper Scholarship and a member of the South Carolina Law Review.
