The Strickland family, owners of River Street Sweets and Savannah’s Candy Kitchen, will be the speakers at the next BiS Luncheon on July 29. The quarterly speaker series features business leaders from the Savannah area and is co-sponsored by HunterMaclean, Armstrong State University, and Abshire Public Relations.
For nearly twenty-five years, the Strickland family business had been in “friendly competition” after the owners split up and each took their own turn in the candy business. However, time has a way of working things out, and today the combined forces of Savannah’s Candy Kitchen and River Street Sweets are the leading supplier of pralines in the world. Come hear how this local brand is making waves in the candy community both locally and globally.
