HunterMaclean Partner Dennis Keene Named Chair of ALFA International Product Liability Practice Group

HunterMaclean partner Dennis Keene was recently named chair of the ALFA International Product Liability Practice Group.

The ALFA International Product Liability Practice Group provides legal counsel to product manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers. Membership in this practice group includes ALFA International law firms from around the world. As chair, Keene is responsible for the overall direction and business development initiatives of the practice group.

Keene is an AV® Preeminent™ rated partner who represents corporations and individuals in tort-based litigation with an emphasis in product liability and transportation law. His diverse client base ranges from international manufacturers and national motor carriers to regional carriers and local businesses. He also is a registered neutral in Georgia and mediates civil cases. He gained extensive trial experience as a JAG officer in the U.S. Army and continues to use these trial skills as a civil practitioner.

Keene is a member of the American Bar Association and serves as vice chair of the American Bar Association’s Trial Techniques Committee. He is a member of the steering committee for ALFA International’s Transportation Practice Group and the Bar Grievance Committee for the Savannah Bar Association.

He currently serves on the boards of the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire and The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire. Keene formerly served as the chair of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Military Order of World Wars. He is a Savannah Country Day mock trial attorney coach and was honored as the 2011 Outstanding Attorney Coach for the region by the State Bar of Georgia.

Keene earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1993 and a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University in 1990.
