U.S.News Media Group is the nation’s leading source of rankings and service journalism. Best Lawyers® is the leading survey of lawyers worldwide. The U.S.News – Best Lawyers Law Firm rankings evaluated firms across the United States using a wide range of objective data as well as individual assessments from more than 6,000 clients, including every Fortune 100 company and

more than 500 of the Fortune 1000 companies, nearly 9,000 private practice lawyers and thousands of law firm employees. The report includes rankings of law firms in almost 40 national practice areas and approximately 175 metropolitan and state areas.

Criteria by which clients and peers were asked to evaluate firms included areas such as responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, integrity and civility, as well as whether they would refer a matter to the firm and whether they consider the firm a worthy competitor.

“The fact that this survey is based upon client and peer evaluations makes this honor all the more meaningful,” said Macgill. “Our attorneys work hard for our clients and it shows.”
