Three Savannah attorneys have been appointed to serve on the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors.

The appointments by Sharri Edenfield, president of the Young Lawyers Division are attorneys:

Rachel Y. Fields of Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, who will serve as a director of leadership development. Fields’ law practice is focused in the areas of business litigation, appellate practice and intellectual property. She is a co-chair of the Georgia YLD Leadership Academy and is past co-chair of the YLD Intellectual Property Committee.

• Quentin L. Marlin of Ellis, Painter, Ratterree & Adams, who will serve as a director of special projects – military support. Marlin’s law practice focuses on civil litigation in the areas of commercial, banking, construction and real estate matters. He is a past president of the Savannah Bar Association YLD and serves as chairman of the Chatham County Zoning Board of Appeals and president of America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

• L. Rachel Wilson of the McCallar Law Firm, who will serve as a director of affiliate outreach. Wilson’s law practice is focused in bankruptcy representation, civil litigation, wills, trusts, estates and other areas. She is a board member of LAUNCH Savannah for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and previously served on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Savannah Downtown Business Association.

They will assist in promoting Edenfield’s initiatives for the year, which are focused on service to military veterans, leadership development in YLD members and finding solutions to access to justice issues.

The young lawyers group has been strengthened over the years through guidance by the State Bar of Georgia, its Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the Supreme Court, and through dedicated service rendered by its members. In keeping with its motto of “working for the profession and the public,” the YLD has more than 25 hard-working committees that produce an array of projects and programs. Through the years, the YLD has also gained national recognition by winning several American Bar Association awards for its projects and publications.
