Brad Harmon has served as managing partner of HunterMaclean since 2016. At age thirty-eight, he was one of the youngest managing partners elected in the Firm’s history. In this position, Brad leads the HunterMaclean management committee, which guides Firm strategy, sets long-term vision, and directs Firm operations. He continues to maintain a robust business litigation practice in addition to his Firm leadership duties.
Brad has proven expertise in solving complex problems for the Firm’s business clients. He has successfully represented hospitals, financial institutions, biofuel manufacturers, and industrial materials manufacturers in commercial disputes; medical care providers and trucking companies in personal injury lawsuits; and manufacturers of numerous types of products in products liability claims. He has served as outside general counsel to a regional healthcare system as well as a biofuel manufacturer. Brad assists logistics, 3PL, and warehousing clients with their logistics transactional needs. He has represented builders, subcontractors, and owners in both commercial and residential construction projects. He provides counsel to the Firm’s clients on OSHA matters, including contesting OSHA citations/violations. Brad also represents clients in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters.
Brad has received a number of honors and awards in connection with his law practice. He was named an “On the Rise” attorney by the Fulton County Daily Report in 2013, one of “40 Under 40” by Georgia Trend in 2015, and a Legal Elite by Georgia Trend in 2016, 2020, and 2021. He has repeatedly been honored as a Georgia Super Lawyer, a Rising Star, and one of the Best Lawyers in America.
Brad is admitted to practice in Georgia and Tennessee and has argued cases in the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Georgia. Originally from Sevierville, Tennessee, Brad earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and his J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where he was a member of the Mercer Law Review. Brad and his wife, Heather, have one son, named Will. In his spare time, Brad enjoys running, reading nonfiction, and supporting Will in his swimming competitions.
