On April 15, 2025, Wade Herring received the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service at the Nathan Deal Judicial Center in Atlanta. Surrounded by family, Wade was recognized for his decades of legal service and his deep commitment to the community. The award was presented by Karlise Grier, Executive Director of the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism; Chief Justice Nels S. D. Peterson of the Georgia Supreme Court; and Justice Robert Benham, former Associate Justice and Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court (1995–2001).
