Georgia Tech-Savannah and HunterMaclean Present “OSHA Busters”

May 24, 2016

Georgia Tech-Savannah and HunterMaclean will partner to present “OSHA Busters: A Compliance and Legal Perspective,” on June 23 at the Georgia Tech-Savannah campus. The session, led by Myrtle Turner, director of the Georgia Tech OSHA Training Institute Education Center, and HunterMaclean’s managing partner, Brad Harmon, will address the OSHA inspection process and how safety professionals can be proactive.

During the interactive session, Turner will discuss the top 10 OSHA violations in the state of Georgia and how to prevent them, and walk participants through the inspection process so they know what to expect. Harmon will let business owners know what to do if they receive a citation and use case studies to demonstrate how to manage different kinds of citations.

In addition, risk managers, safety officers, human resources professionals, and business owners will learn more about the employer and employee rights and responsibilities as they relate to OSHA compliance and inspections; local and national emphasis programs and OSHA’s regulatory agenda; and OSHA reporting requirements.
