The HunterMaclean Women’s Initiative returned to The Whitman this year for its 6th Annual Wine Tasting on February 26. Kathleen O’Sullivan, the On Premise Division Manager for National Distributing Co & Atlanta Wholesale Wine, specially selected wines for the event. The Whitman supplied appetizers.
The HunterMaclean Women’s Initiative provides peer-to-peer networking for top Savannah executives, community leaders, business owners, and decision makers.
The Whitman, originally built in 1895, is a Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion on Forsyth Park. It was later converted into apartments, but when the property fell into the hands of the current owners, they decided to restore the building to its original design. The resulting $2 million restoration earned its owners a Historic Savannah Foundation Preservation Award. The Whitman now offers a private sanctuary for travelers, weddings, and corporate events.
