HunterMaclean is pleased to announce that attorney J. Reid Williamson III recently rejoined the law firm’s Estates and Trusts practice group. His practice will concentrate in the areas of probate, estates, trusts, fiduciary law, wills and real estate.
An experienced probate and estate planning attorney, Williamson most recently served as senior vice president at Fiduciary Services Corporation in Savannah. His accomplished career also includes work as a partner at HunterMaclean from 1995 to 2000, and at a predecessor law firm from 1985 to 1995.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Reid back to HunterMaclean,” said Brooks Stillwell, client development partner for HunterMaclean. “He stands out as a top-notch attorney with a commanding knowledge of his field. His experience, wisdom and insight serve as the perfect complement to our firm’s accomplished Estates and Trusts practice group.”
Originally from Savannah, Williamson attended Savannah Country Day School before graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University in Boston, Mass. with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science in 1982. He earned a J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1985.
A graduate of Leadership Savannah, Williamson presently serves as the chairman of the Chatham County Board of Jury Commissioners, a board member for The Junior League of Savannah, and past president of the Savannah Estate Planning Council. He is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the Savannah Bar Association and currently resides on Dutch Island with his wife, Wendy, and their four children.
