Shante Ruffin is an associate in HunterMaclean’s Real Estate group.

She graduated from Oglethorpe University with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2019 and earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2024. During law school, Shante worked as a student attorney and graduate research assistant in the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she earned the Gordon & Ava Hartman Fellowship and the Atlanta Bar Association Dean R. Morley Tax Clinic Award. She was also involved in the Ronald J. Freeman Chapter of the Black Law Students Association, the Tax Law Society, and the Wellness in the Law Society. Additionally, she was a student member of the State Bar of Georgia and the National Bar Association.

In undergrad, Shante tutored Corporate Finance, served as the Members’ Outreach Chair and Success Networking Team Coordinator for the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was a member of Students Today Alumni Tomorrow.

Shante was part of HunterMaclean’s summer associate program in 2023. She previously worked as a Legal Production Assistant and Billing Specialist with Elizabeth Gallo Court Reporting in Atlanta and as a home services coordinator with The Home Depot. She has recorded over 100 hours of pro bono work through the LITC, Gwinnett Legal Aid Probate Clinic, and the Georgia Free Legal Answers Help-a-thon.

In her free time, Shante enjoys cooking, hot pilates, and spending time with family and friends.
