Savannah Bar Association Announces Slate of New Officers

The Savannah Bar Association, a local extension of the State Bar of Georgia, is pleased to announce a new slate of officers for 2008-2009. The newly-elected officers will oversee the nearly 430 members of this prestigious professional organization of local lawyers and will continue numerous pro bono activities and projects to benefit the community at large.

The Savannah Bar Association’s new slate of officers includes:

President – Michael Edwards, circuit public defender for the Eastern Judicial Circuit
President Elect – Jennifer Dickinson, associate at HunterMaclean
Treasurer – Gregory Sapp, Cerbone & Sapp LLC,
Secretary – William K. Broker, managing attorney at the Savannah Regional Office of Georgia Legal Services

The State Bar of Georgia exists to foster the principles of duty and service to the public; to improve the administration of justice; and to advance the science of law. All persons authorized to practice law in Georgia are required to be members.

Membership dues and other contributions help the Bar provide programs that are mutually beneficial to its members and the general public. The Savannah Bar Association is an extension of those practices.
