Jessica Wright is of counsel in HunterMaclean’s Litigation practice group.

She brings over two decades of experience in Georgia’s court system, with a focus on legal research, analysis, and appellate writing.

Prior to joining HunterMaclean, Jessica spent over 15 years working as a staff attorney at the Court of Appeals of Georgia for Judges Charles B. Mikell, Jr. and Tilman Self, and Chief Judge Trenton Brown, where she contributed to the drafting and review of more than 1,000 judicial opinions. Her work has addressed a wide range of civil and procedural issues, including contract disputes, business litigation, general and professional liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, employment matters, and products liability.

Earlier in her career, Jessica worked as a staff attorney for Judge Elizabeth E. Long in the Superior Court of Fulton County and practiced insurance defense litigation as an associate at Savell & Williams, LLP.

Jessica earned her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where she served as Associate Student Writing Editor of the Law Review and received multiple awards for research, writing, and advocacy.

She lives in Decatur, Georgia, and enjoys distance running, cycling, strength training, watching sports, and spending time in the kitchen baking and cooking. She and her husband, Thaddeus (“Tad”), are the proud parents of two sons, Alden and Isaac, and share their home with a very large Maine Coon cat and a three-legged English Pointer mix. When time permits, Jessica volunteers with the Pointer Rescue Organization, helping to transport rescued English Pointers to foster/adoptive homes.
