HunterMaclean, a business law firm with offices in Savannah and St. Simons Island, is pleased to announce that Sean Callahan and Sam Seaman were recently elected as partners by the voting shareholders of the firm.

Sean is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group, where his practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, including matters involving land use, zoning, environmental, and title curative issues. He has significant experience representing clients in land acquisition, disposition, and development projects across a range of commercial real estate matters. Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received his J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law and later earned his LL.M. from Emory University School of Law.
During law school, he volunteered with the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Low-Income Taxpayer Clinics and studied global arbitration law through Queen Mary University of London’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies. Sean is a member of the Georgia Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section and the Savannah Bar Association. He also serves on the executive board of the Coastal Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Sam is a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Data Privacy & Technology practice groups. His practice includes general corporate representation, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts, with a specialization in data privacy, technology, and intellectual property matters. Sam regularly advises growth-stage and middle-market businesses, particularly in the technology and health care industries, and has represented clients in multi-million-dollar acquisitions and transactions involving major health systems, insurers, and government agencies.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in global and international studies from the University of Kansas, his M.B.A. from the University of Saint Mary, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as general editor of the Florida Journal of International Law. Sam is also licensed to practice in Florida and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Technology and Health Law Sections as well as the Savannah Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He serves on the board of Startup Savannah and is involved with several other community organizations. Sam has also been recognized as a “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America®.
